The San Diego Cal Alumni Club hosted the 2025 Summer Welcome Party on Friday, July 19, 2025

This year’s summer barbecue was held at the home of Helen Barker, Cal Alumni in Carlsbad, California.

Over 140 incoming students, current students, alumni and guests attended the event from San Diego County, Orange County and Riverside County.

Congratulations to the newest members of the Cal family as they start their college journey at Berkeley. Go Bears!

San Diego Cal Alumni celebrated the Golden Bears 24-21 come from behind win over Stanford in the 127th Big Game.  This win makes it four wins in row and the Golden Bears became bowl eligible. The watch party was held at Chief’s Burger and Brew in Solana Beach, CA.

Cal alumni can give back by volunteering to interview incoming students from the San Diego area for the 2024 CAA Leadership Awards. Interviews will be done virtually via Zoom.  No previous experience required.
